Cissy Houston – 87 years old
Cissy Houston is a gospel and soul singer who started out as a backup singer for stalwarts like Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, and Dionne Warwick, to name a few. She eventually pursued a solo career and became a two-time Grammy winner. However, she is best known for being the mother of another great singer, the late Whitney Houston, who died after a long battle with substance abuse. For the past 50 years, Cissy has led the New Hope Baptist Church choir and still performs with them to this day.
