Helen Shapiro – 76 Years Old
Helen Shapiro was barely in her teens when she recorded two singles that topped the UK music charts in 1961. She became prominent with her debut single ‘Don’t Treat Me Like a Child’ the same year. Even at such a young age, the industry veterans dubbed her voice as holding the maturity and sensibilities of a seasoned singer. Alongside performing in a jazz band in the ‘70s, she was also acting in musical theater and television soap operas. She temporarily halted all her show business activities in 2002 but returned stronger with her 18th studio album, ‘What Wondrous Love Is This’ in 2010, which was received enthusiastically by her fans.
