Kim Wilde – 64 Years
Kim Wilde, originally named Kim Smith, was born on November 18, 1960, in Chiswick, London, and became one of the defining voices of 1980s pop. As the daughter of 1950s rock sensation Marty Wilde, music was in her blood. Her breakthrough came in 1981 with her debut single, “Kids in America,” which soared to number two on the UK charts and gained global acclaim.
Wilde’s chart-topping hits and albums throughout the decade cemented her status as a pop icon. By the late 1990s, she ventured into a new passion: landscape gardening. In 2005, she earned a prestigious Gold award at the Chelsea Flower Show. After stepping away from music for a while, Wilde made a triumphant return to the stage, proving her creativity knows no bounds and her star power remains timeless.
