Reportedly, Dirty Dancing enjoyed its biggest success in Russia. In fact, to this day, treatment centers for battered women in the country show Dirty Dancing to the rescued women after giving treatment for their wounds. Also, when the Berlin Wall came down, people in the east wanted to see Dirty Dancing.
