Minnie Ripperton & Maya Rudolph – 20s

Maya Rudolph is the daughter of Minnie Ripperton, a famous singer, and songwriter from the ‘60s and the ‘70s. Minnie was probably best known for Lovin’ You, her whistle register, and coloratura soprano, and many performances. In fact, Minnie was dubbed the Queen of the Whistle Register. She died on July 12, 1979, leaving behind two children. Maya is her younger child and like her famous mother, she has ventured into singing but also got into acting, voice acting, and comedy. She was on Bridesmaids, Shrek the Third, Big Hero 6, and Maya’s appearance in 2018’s The Good Place won her an Emmy.
