Now that all the main elements of the bunker had been put in place, Wayne could remove the previously installed I-beams. The whole place could by that point be held together by itself, but this was still one of the riskiest parts of the entire project.
If the bunker was not perfectly designed and secured, there was a good chance it would give way to the pressure over the years.
