Robert Downey Jr. is a world-famous actor who needs little introduction. He was born in 1965, in New York City, to Robert Downey Sr., a famous filmmaker and actor, and Elsie Ann, also an actress. Already as a child, Robert was appearing in his dad’s movies, like in Pound when he was five.

As he grew up, he focused even more on acting and began appearing in theater productions in the ’80s. His breakthrough came with Tuff Tuff, in 1985. Today, RDJ is probably best known as Iron Man/Tony Stark, from the Marvel movies, and he is one of the highest-paid actors. He owns $300M, while his highest paycheck was $80M for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
