What’s not to love about fall? You have crisp, cool breezes, warm spices, two of the world’s most beloved holidays, all while enjoying the color-changing foliage that shows you the true beauty of nature.

If you’re situated somewhere in the U.S., one of the few countries that distinctly experiences all four seasons, you already have a front-row seat to the enchanting transformative landscape this season has to offer.

However, for those of you who might not be so lucky, or just love searching for breathtaking views, we’ve rallied some of the best places to witness fall’s allure. What’s amazing is that, given the current global situation, you won’t even be breaking any social distancing protocols!

1. The Catskill Mountains, New York

All over the U.S., there are only a few places as picture-perfect as the Catskill Mountains. Luckily, September 26th kicked off a Catskill Fall Foliage Adventure Train, in which you can, for the low price of $19, take a ride through some of the most captivating sights in the country, as you kick back and finally enjoy some time out of the house.

2. Daniel Boone National Forest, Kentucky

Kentucky’s forests provide some of the country’s brightest and warmest visuals every fall. The United States Department of Agriculture states that the gorgeous colors of the foliage don’t peak until late October, which means you still have lots of time to prepare for the journey.

To seep in the beauty that these magnificent forests in Stears, Kentucky have to offer, you can book a ride on the Big South Fork Scenic Railway’s Fall Colors Express.

3. Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

The only thing that can amp up the beauty of fall foliage is a magnificent waterfall that sublimely elevates the scenic beauty, and the Columbia River Gorge is the perfect place to catch such breathtaking sights. Home to over 50 waterfalls, there is no way that you can leave Portland before mounting the Columbia River Boat tour.

A cabin rental company in the area advocates the foliage’s peak time ranging from late September to mid-October. If you hurry up, you can still catch the beauty before it’s too late.

4. The Poconos, Pennsylvania

If you’re in search of a popular spot for leaf-peeping, the Poconos Mountains are where you need to head right away. Since the area is met with quite a lot of active tourism each year, aspiring travelers are alerted with a foliage forecast from the beginning of September so they are aware of the perfect time to visit. The Poconos Foliage Express also stands available in the area to welcome tourists with a breathtaking tour.

5. Lake Ann, Washington
